Facts about the Persian Language
Persian: ‘Farsi’ is the native name for the Persian languages spoken in Iran (Persia), Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and some other parts of the Caucasus and Central Asia (Ossetians speak Ossetic, which is a branch of Persian).
Recently, as a misunderstanding in some Western countries, the word “Farsi” has been wrongly understood as a supposedly new language and not as the native name for the Persian language. There are over 75 million native speakers. It belongs to the Indo-European language family. It is of the Subject Object Verb type.
